• This is a fan-written screenplay adaptation of the novel "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" by J. K. Rowling.  It has not been authorized by Ms. Rowling, Warner Bros., or anyone else who can claim copyright ownership to the "Harry Potter" novels or movies.
• If you haven't already read the original novel, please do so before reading this adaptation.  You are doing a serious disservice to both Ms. Rowling and yourself if you're here just to find out what happens.  (Moreover, Wikipedia already has a summary of the novel, if that's what you're looking for.)
• This is meant to be a plausible screenplay for the seventh movie, so while reading it, please assume that the events of Harry Potter's first five years at Hogwarts took place as they did in the first five movies.  Since, at the time of writing, the sixth movie has yet to be released, I had to make some assumptions about what will and will not be in that movie.
• I (unevenly) divided the screenplay into 25 chapters (26 if you count the post-credits sequence).  As much as was appropriate, I used the titles (but obviously not the numbers) of the corresponding chapters in the novel.
